“Bob Tate, you have ruined me forever. I’m not sure I’ll be able to use a knife you haven’t worked on ever again. Seriously. I have some seriously sharp knives, but none of them cut like the low to mid-range knives you worked on and returned in only a couple of days. I usually prefer thin blade Japanese style knives, but the thick blade Mundial you sharpened cuts better, cleaner, and without any sort of splitting action than almost anything else I’ve used. And the knives look great too. The little bit of polishing really improves the look and seems to make the knives cut more smoothly as well. I don’t know how you do it, but please don’t ever stop.

This is a bit delayed, but about a month ago you sharpened some of our knives. It was the first time we used your service via the UPS store on Capitol Hill. I did it as a surprise for my hubby who was about to return from a 2 month trip back home in Italy and who is the primary cook in our house. Our knives have never been sharpened professionally, which I’m sure you could see, and they came back so beautiful, honed like jewelery! It has been such a pleasure to use them and feel them effortlessly walk through anything we are preparing. I’ve shared my experience with friends and will be back soon with the rest of our knives, and then regularly after that. It was easier to just use a boning of fillet knife for everyday use. So they just sat in the block for years. The principal reason I’m e-mailing you is to express my appreciation for your work on my 2 Smith and Wesson knives and my K-bar. The finish on my Smith and Wesson knives is much better because of you work, but most importantly to me is the work you performed on my K- bar knife. I was given that knife when I was six and my grandfather didn’t allow me to sharpen it until I was nine.
