Victorinox is the original Swiss Army company founded in 1884 in Switzerland. They are still located today in Ibach, Switzerland, where they manufacture the hand-finished Rosewood Collection of kitchen cutlery we offer for sale. These knives were first offered for sale in the United States in 1937 through R.H. Forschner & Co., and in 2011 the companies joined together. The Victorinox Chef’s knife has been named “Best Overall” by the Editors of Cook’s Illustrated magazine who identified it as “our favorite inexpensive chef’s knife.”
